Rocket Software completes acquisition of Shadow from Progress Software

Waltham, MA – October 19, 2012 – Rocket Software, Inc. (www.rocketsoftware.com) announced today that it has acquired the Shadow business from Progress Software (PRGS) (www.progress.com). Shadow is a leading provider of mainframe integration software for the IBM System z platform. The entire Shadow team, which is primarily based near Houston, Texas, has joined the global organization of more than 1,000 Rocket employees and is the newest addition to our Application Development, Integration, and Modernization business unit.
